About Education Welfare

Early Welfare provides the bridge between universal services (schools, Early Years settings, FE Colleges) and specialist provision (social care, specialist Health services, Special schools).

The focus is on raising achievement of vulnerable learners through reducing barriers to learning; and reducing referrals to specialist services.

Exclusions and Fair Access

The Fair Access and Exclusions Team provides support for children and young people, parents and carers, school leaders, governing bodies and other professionals with exclusions and ensuring pupil receive a suitable education. Educational Psychology

The Educational Psychology Service (EPS) delivers statutory and traded psychological services for children and young people aged 0 to 25, within a range of educational and community settings such as pre-schools, schools, colleges, children's homes and children’s centres. Gypsy Roma Traveller Education

The Gypsy Roma Traveller Education Team provides education support and family advocacy to the community of Gypsy Roma Travellers, Showman families, Circus families and New Age Travellers who reside in Worcestershire. This service is provided for Worcestershire County Council by Babcock Prime.
