Major Infrastructure and Improvement Schemes

Southern Link Road

Phase 4 given the go ahead by county Planning Committee

In March 2018 the county's Planning and Regulatory Committee considered and approved an application for the construction of Southern Link Road Phase 4.

The successful application includes the dualling of the existing 1.9km single carriageway of the A4440 between Ketch and Powick roundabouts and improvements to both of these junctions. Plans also include construction of a cycle/footbridge over Hams Way and the building of an additional bridge and viaduct next to the current Carrington Bridge and Powick Common Viaduct.

The main construction work is anticipated to commence Spring 2019 with some minor works taking place during the second half of 2018.
