The A4440 Worcester Southern Link Road Improvements

Phase 2: The Ketch

Southern Link Road

The Ketch Junction Enhancement Scheme

The Ketch junction works included a significant reconfiguration of the Ketch roundabout and the dualling a section of carriageway between the Ketch and Norton roundabouts. It also included some mitigation works incorporating bund realignment, vegetation planting and screen fencing. The work is compatible with more extensive dualling of the Southern Link Road in the future, including Phase 3 works (Norton to Whittington roundabouts).

The cost of carrying out the improvements was estimated at £8 million, £6m funded by the Department for Transport and the remainder from the County Council.

The works commenced in the summer 2014 and have now been completed.
