Services and Resources

We offer a range of services and resources to help support the delivery of Learning for Sustainability and Eco Schools in the school.

Earth Balloon:

The Earth Balloon is a dynamic and fun teaching resource available to hire. Measuring 6.7m across, the Earth Balloon can accommodate an entire class of 30 pupils inside. You enter the globe through zippers located along either the International Date Line or the Greenwich Meridian. Teaching resources are provided with the hire of the Earth Balloon, which can transform a geography, science or global citizenship topic.

The Earth Balloon can be hired by schools outside of Worcestershire, but must be collected from and returned to County Hall, Worcester.

For more information about the cost of hiring the balloon and other details, please download the Hire Information sheet:

Training Opportunities

We run a number of training sessions throughout the year to support eco-coordinators, headteachers and others within the school with their eco-schools and learning for sustainability work:  Training is open to all schools and we are happy for independent schools and schools outside of Worcestershire to attend. Any school which does not pay for the Energy Module of the Worcestershire Place Partnership Schools SLA will need to pay to attend; please enquire for costs. For more information on training please visit the Training and Events page.

Eco Schools Conferences and Eco Schools Celebration

Bring your Eco Schools Committee along to one day of our annual conferences for a day of environmental education and fun. As well as being educational, the conferences provide opportunities for pupils to get to know eco-committees from other schools and are always very popular. The conferences normally take place at the end of June / beginning of July.

All eco-coordinators, headteachers and governors are invited along to our Eco-Schools Celebration, celebrating the work of all our Eco-Schools and providing opportunities to meet some of the other local organisations which can support your work.

For more information and the dates for the conferences and celebration this year, please contact us on
