WWP volunteers in Worcester City
The Worcestershire Wardens Partnership (WWP) is supported by organisations throughout Worcestershire that work with volunteers in the parks and countryside sector.
The aim of the WWP is to work together to provide training opportunities, work parties and "thank you" events for their volunteers whilst striving to disseminate best practice and ensure a consistently high standard of support for volunteers.
Whether you are a volunteer that already works with one of the WWP organisations, you're thinking about becoming a volunteer or you are considering establishing a similar Partnership, you will find all the information you need here.

Charter and Agreement
Before the Worcestershire Wardens Partnership could be formally created, we had to have a purpose and a way or working that would be the backbone of the group.
The main aims of the Partnership were to encourage volunteering in the environmental sector, promote best practice in working with volunteers, encourage collaboration between organisations who host volunteers and to create a sense of family amongst all volunteers in the sector - regardless of which organisation they volunteer for.
To help do this, it was felt that there needed to be some form of common standards between all of the organisations on what we would do for all volunteers. These documents can all be viewed below.
Training and Events
Part of the Worcestershire Wardens Partnership role is to provide specifically tailored courses and events open to all of the organisations volunteers. Also, where an individual partner organisation is running a training course or event, they will offer any spare places to other partner volunteers. This has meant that volunteers are given the opportunity to attend far more courses than would have usually been possible.
To find out what courses and events are currently available through the Worcestershire Wardens Partnership please contact your host organisation.
