The Worcestershire Arts Partnership (WAP) began in 2010 as a way of bringing together the many different art stake holders in the county. This includes members of the professional, amateur and voluntary arts sector, local authority officers from both the arts and non-arts sectors, The University of Worcester, The Arts Council, The Elmley Foundation and leading arts freelancers. It now has four working sub groups and engages actively with over 80 arts organisations and artists in the county. It is currently chaired by Professor Judith Elkin.
A new Arts Strategy for Worcestershire 2016 to 2019 – "1000 Days" has been launched in October 2016. 1000 days is the period of time over which the Strategy will be delivered and will highlight the many stories and positive impact the arts has had on numerous people and communities.
Please take a look at the strategy and accompanying action plan to discover the ambitious aims to build a stronger and more resilient arts sector within Worcestershire.
