Internal Audit

The Council has responsibility for establishing and maintaining appropriate risk management processes, control systems and governance arrangement. Internal audit plays a vital part in advising the Council that these arrangements are in place. The Audit and Governance Committee receives a summary of the audit findings on a quarterly basis, and where it is appropriate the Internal Audit report is then published online. Read more

Local Government Transparency Code

In October 2014 the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government issued the "Local Government Transparency Code 2014" and the "Local Government Transparency Code 2014 Frequently Asked Questions". The code sets out the minimum data and information that all Local Authorities must publish, the frequency it should be published and how it should be published. Read more
