Do you want to work for the winner of The Times Best Council to Work For?
We're looking for a skilled and imaginative Web and New Media Officer to join our Communications Team to help us develop the best council website. We need to get more services online and more residents using the website to access services.
The role involves developing, designing, creating and maintaining web, DigiTV and intranet pages; driving performance improvements and demonstrating progress against national measures. The post will oversee our departmental Web Champs, train them in use of web content management systems and help them develop high quality content. The post also needs to represent Wychavon on County groups and ensure our voice is heard.
You will need a minimum of three years experience in web development/e-communications and a good working knowledge of application software and reporting tools. You'll have a good eye for design and be able to write well. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels are essential. You will have project management experience, an understanding of local government services, plus a high level of motivation and plenty of good ideas.

As from 23rd February 2009, Civil Enforcement Officers will be patrolling and enforcing the parking regulations in Redditch on behalf of Redditch Borough Council in partnership with Wychavon District Council.
You will be required to patrol on street parking and issue penalty charge notices to vehicles that are parked in contravention of the parking regulations. You will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, like working in all weathers and have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to be firm and fair whilst enforcing parking regulations. The ability to work alone and organise your own day is essential. You must have a full driving licence and your own transport.
In return we offer a competitive salary, 23 days annual leave, a final salary pension scheme, full uniform and opportunities to progress.
Experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided in the week commencing 16th February 2009.
Appointment to these posts will be subject to a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure.
