Permit systems at Household Waste Sites

Household Waste Sites (HWS) are provided in Herefordshire and Worcestershire for the residents of the two counties to recycle and dispose of their household waste. Some of the Household Waste Sites (HWS) are used extensively by people who are not residents of the two counties and by traders disposing of their business waste, and this cost is borne by the council tax payers of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We are therefore introducing two permit systems to limit this useage. This will not only increase efficiencies in terms of cost, but will also improve the service for genuine residents by reducing inputs to the site, and therefore queuing.

Worcestershire HUBS and Info in Herefordshire are closed on Bank Holidays. You will be UNABLE to get an emergency permit when these centres are closed. Please ensure you appy for any permits you might need in good time

Permit system for commerial type vehicles and trailers

From 30th April 2007 all residents who bring household waste to the HWS in either a commercial type vehicle or vehicle towing a braked trailer, or non-braked trailer over 1.3m load box length will require a permit issued by Worcestershire County Council. Please see our CVT Permit Page for full details including a permit application form. Please note that possession of a permit does NOT entitle the holder to dispose of trade waste at the Household Waste Site. If you turn up in a commercial type vehicle without a permit, you will be turned away from the site.

Residents permits for Bromsgrove and Redditch Household Waste Sites

From 2nd April 2007 the Redditch HWS located on the Park Farm Industrial Estate, and the Bromsgrove HWS located at Quantry Lane Romsley will be for use by residents of Herefordshire and Worcestershire only. To access either of these two sites you will be required to display either a Residents Permit, or provide proof of residency within the two counties. Further information is available on our Residents permits page.
