Potholes

Potholes are a hazard that can cause crashes. Potholes should be detected and remedied through regular roadway inspection routines. If, for some legitimate reason, impossible to remedy immediately, motorists should be warned of hazard by appropriate traffic sign.

With thousands of miles of roads, cycleways, footpaths and verges in Worcestershire, it is not possible for the County Council to inspect all of the network all of the time. You can help us by reporting any pothole problems you see and we will endeavour to get them repaired as soon as possible

When to report a pothole

If a pothole meets the criteria specified below, then it can be reported:

Carriageways

Footways & Cycle ways

*We strongly recommend that you do not attempt to measure any potholes on the carriageway as this is both a danger to yourself and other road users. Only attempt to estimate the potholes dimensions from a safe area

It is important to provide accurate details of where the pothole is located and when you noticed it; this will enable us to respond to the problem and resolve it at the first opportunity.
