Explorer 218: Kidderminster and Wyre Forest

Safe Walking

  • Wear clothing and footwear suitable for the season.  A sun hat in the summer, warm clothing in the winter and walking boots and a waterproof coat at anytime of year will help you enjoy your walk.

  • Carry some food to help maintain your energy levels and a cold drink particularly in the summer.

  • Carry a first aid kit – just a few basic items including sterile wipes and plasters.

  • Let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return, particularly if you are walking alone.
