Fruit Trees for Worcestershire Scheme

Worcestershire County Council supports the Worcestershire Orchards Initiative.  This initiative aims to record the presence of orchards across the county and develop ways of protecting and conserving them for the future.

Worcestershire was once renowned for it orchards and fruit growing, much of which has sadly declined. In an attempt to keep local varieties going the County Council runs a scheme offering local variety fruit trees for sale.

The trees are grown in partnership with Walcott Organic nursery and are available from November to February for planting in the winter season.

The new Fruit Tree Scheme for 2007-2008 is now up and running. Please select this link for more details on the new scheme and an online application form. This is a link to a PDF file. (528.26 KB)
