The Countryside Service represents Worcestershire County Council on the Liveability Partnership alongside Worcestershire’s six district councils, Malvern Hills Conservators and British Waterways. The Liveability Partnership was initially formed to bid for funding from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. Having been successful in this bidding exercise, the Liveability Partnership is delivering a number of initiatives across Worcestershire designed to improve services to the users of parks and public open space. These initiatives include improvements to Worcester Woods Country Park and St Wulstan's Local Nature Reserve, the establishment of a feasibility project designed to involve more people in volunteering, a county-wide multi-agency walks and events programme and contributions to Idea's Action Learning Programme.
