‘Building on Success’ is the County Council’s Corporate Plan – the document that will guide our work between now and 2009.
It states our priorities for the coming years, together with the outcomes we plan to achieve, the vision and values we’ll follow as we work towards our goals and all of the big issues we need to consider at the same time.
This is also the first Worcestershire County Council Corporate Plan to include an assessment of the resources we need and the risks we’ll face as we deliver our priorities and services.
“The success we’ve achieved gives us the foundation to build upon,” said Dr George Lord, Leader of the Council. “Our Corporate Plan shows the link between our past and our future, but there are also new policies to tackle new needs.”
While we work towards these priorities, we’ll also continue to deliver our full range of high-quality, value-for-money services and keep Council Tax as low as possible.
All of the detail is included in the full ‘brochure’ version - a 44-page A4 document designed for use by Cabinet, Councillors, COMB, senior staff and key partners.
A 12-page A5 summary has also been produced which explains our priorities and offers a little background, primarily for use by Councillors, managers, partners and residents.
The third version is a colourful pocket-sized ‘snapshot’ leaflet, mainly for staff and residents and this will be freely available in public buildings. It features our priorities and a brief explanation of the plan.
