Welcome to Worceshire County Council's Adoption and Fostering Service. We recognise how important the task of caring for children is. Adoption and fostering is all about making a positive difference to a child who is not ale to live with their birth family. Making the decision to foster or adopt is one of the biggest, but most rewarding decision anyone can make.
To help you to decide if looking after a child is right for you and your family it is a good idea to find out as much information as you can. If you choose to apply to our agency, you will be working with a high performing authority. Worcestershire County Council's Social Care Services were rated as a 3 star authority described as "Serving most children well with excellent prosepects" (Commission of Social Care Inspection 2005)

In Worcestershire we view our foster carers and adopters as our valuable resource and have committed long-serving, loyal carers and staff. Howerever there is a national shortage of foster carers and adopters, and within Worcestershire we are no different - we need poeple to come forward who are detemined, enjoy spending time with children and who enjoy a challenge.
