Activity Options

This page provides a brief insight into the range of activities available.

All courses will be led by an appropriately qualified member of staff who can advise and  plan sessions as taster or progressive learning activities. Field Studies

The local area provides a wealth of opportunities for programmes of study; Upton Warren itself is a Site of Scientific Interest having been formed after the extraction of gravel. Fossils found in the gravel include frogs, shells and even a woolly mammoth. The sandy area where the gravel was once washed now is an unusual lichen heath. Field Studies

Either side of the centre are nature reserves owned by the Worcestershire wildlife trust and as inland salt marshes they are a haven for migratory birds. Groups are welcome to use the site for their own self led geographic or biological fieldwork.
