Outdoor Clothing and Equipment

All Centre equipment is modern and replaced on a regular basis. Activity elements are inspected by qualified engineers on an annual basis and by our own staff weekly.

We recommend that at any time of year students bring a set of wind/waterproofs. The Centre can provide a limited selection of waterproofs: however if students have their own suitable waterproofs it does reduce the time issuing kit, allowing for longer activity time.

If wetsuits are to be used these will be provided by the centre. All Centre wetsuits are dipped in a sterilising solution before reissue.

As a water sports Centre there is always the possibility of getting wet so a complete change of clothes needs to be brought.

Suggested Kit list

Activity clothing

• Waterproofs
• Fleece jacket or warm top
• Thermals/T shirt
• Hat and gloves in cold weather
• Track suit bottoms (not jeans)
• Old trainers for wet activities
• Socks and underwear/ swimming costume/trunks

Change of Clothing

• Towel
• Fleece jacket or warm top
• T-shirt
• Trousers/tracksuit
• Trainers
• Socks and underwear
• Plastic bags to take wet kit home
• Pocket money (small change only)
• Drinks bottle and sandwich box

Jewellery and Valuables

Jewellery, valuables, CD/MP3 players, mobile phones, expensive cameras and expensive designer clothes…. etc should not be brought to the Centre.

The Centre takes no liability for any loss or damage for personal items..

Lost Property

The centre cannot be held responsible for lost property. All items of value that are found after a group departs are kept for a few weeks before disposal. Ensure that ALL ITEMS are clearly marked with name of owner.
