The County Council and Worcestershire’s district councils are hosting a special seminar of discussion and workshops about the current economic problems facing local organisations and businesses.

We want to find ways that we can help you.

Small and medium enterprises, large employers, voluntary & community sector groups and council contractors and suppliers are all invited to tell us what we can do and to share experiences with others in a similar situation.

What you can expect...

Leading representatives from local authorities will be present to speak and join a series of workshops, including key personnel from Worcestershire County Council and from local district councils.

There will be an introduction from Dr George Lord, Leader of the County Council, and a summary of what the County Council is doing from Chief Executive Trish Haines.

District council representatives will explain how their organisations are helping to tackle the economic issues facing local organisations.

A series of workshops will address matters such as:

• Contracting with the council
• How local government can meet the needs of small businesses
• Assisting the voluntary & community sector
• The needs of large employers

There will also be a Question & Answer session about all aspects of the current situation.
