Fish Hill Picnic Place

About the picnic place

The intriguing name alone might tempt you to explore this hilltop site. There is no water, let alone any fish, to be seen. Wild flowers, colourful woods, Giants' Steps and Cotswold landscapes are what you will find if you visit Fish Hill. Perhaps the biggest surprise of all, it's an old quarry, though only the most observant would guess that if they saw it today.

Opening times

Open daily, 24 hour pedestrian access, vehicular access 8:00am to dusk.

Admission is Free.

Site location

Buckle Street, WR12 7LD. Located on the A44 Evesham to Moreton-in-Marsh road, 2 miles from Broadway. Follow the brown and white tourist signs. Grid Reference: 120370.

  • all parking which is a rolled stone surface is close to picnic site and visitor information point

  • the site is flat in some areas with gentle and steep slopes in others
  • picnic area (with wheelchair accessible tables) is flat grass and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs
  • Waymarked Limestone Trail (is half a mile long) is hilly with a compacted soil surface and has some steps. It is not suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters or pushchairs
