W:DAAT covers the whole of Worcestershire
and is responsible for reducing the harm of drug and
alcohol misuse for individuals, families and communities
within Worcestershire. Locally we have agreed 5 outcomes
to work towards, and these are included within our strategy.
These outcomes ensure that we meet national strategies
regarding drugs and alcohol as well as a national Public
Services Agreement regarding reducing the harm of illegal
drugs.
W:DAAT is a partnership of agencies involved in
this area including Worcestershire County Council,
Community Safety Partnerships, NHS
agencies
such as Worcestershire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, Police,
Probation and others.
The DAAT Support Team provide a co-ordination and developmental function on behalf of
W:DAAT . This team is led by a Partnership Manager,
with Programme Leads for Young People’s Substance
Misuse and Alcohol, an Information Manager,
a Training and Development Officer, 2 Team Administrators
and a Project Worker (see
here for team structure).
