Lessons in Schools

Lessons during school time are organised and invoiced by your
child's school. Each school decides which instruments they would
like to take lessons in subject to pupil
demand. Worcestershire Youth Music (WYM) charges schools at a
standard hourly rate and schools set their own charging
policies. Please contact your school office
or Music Coordinator to find out which instruments
they take and how much they charge for lessons.
You should also ensure that your child has an instrument before
they commence lessons. These can be hired from the WYM.
Schools offer lessons in a selection of the following
instruments:
- Brass
- Guitar
- Keyboard
- Percussion
- Recorder
- Strings
- Woodwind
Outside school time WYM runs lessons, as well as a wide range of
ensembles and activities, at six local Area Music Centres.
