trombone

In addition to our work in county schools, we also run six Area Music Centres across the county, at schools that allow us to use their premises.  The Area Music Centres offer the opportunity to take lessons outside of the school day and to join a wide variety of ensembles and bands.  These take place in:

Once you have decided which activity you are interested in attending (usually recommended by your Worcestershire Youth Music teacher), you are welcome to attend a session as a taster. Should you then wish to join, please print and complete an Application for Area Music Centre Ensemble Membership form This document is in Adobe PDF format(301 KB) and give to the Area Director in charge of the centre. You will then be invoiced for the required subscription.

As you gain experience at Area Centre level, opportunities become available to progress to our Intermediate and Youth ensembles that rehearse regularly in Worcester.

Lessons are arranged by parental request where a teacher is available to take the lesson. Individual lessons are available for 20 or 30 minutes. Group lessons are available where more than one pupil wishes to take the same activity. Where possible we will try to fit your child into a group lesson, if requested.

To apply, please give a completed Application for Area Music Centre Lessons form This document is in Adobe PDF format (284 KB) to the Area Director in charge of the centre. You will then be invoiced for the required fee.
