School Crossing Patrol Service
Worcestershire's School Crossing Patrol Service assists
pedestrians to cross the road in over 100 locations around the
county.
The School Crossing Patrol Act of 1953 established the role of
School Crossing Patrols and their role has never been more
important.
School crossing Patrols are an invaluable asset to the local
communities they serve, the role involves challenges from
inhospitable weather, poor driving and children. But the job is
greatly satisfying through the relationships that they build
up.
School Crossing Patrols receive full training and supervision
with annual site reviews. The School Crossing Patrol Service works
in collaboration with the Smarter Choices Team, who has
responsibility for School Travel Planning.
