Driver
CPC
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC)
came into effect for PSV drivers on 10th September 2008 and for LGV
drivers on 10th September 2009. All professional bus, coach
and LGV drivers will need to complete 35 hours periodic training
every 5 years to ensure that their Driver CPC is current.
This is known as Periodic Training.
The aim of the Driver CPC is not only to improve the knowledge
and skills of professional drivers before they start work, but also
to ensure that these skills are developed throughout their working
life.
Only courses that have been approved by, and
delivered at a training centre approved by the Joint Approvals Unit
for Periodic Training (JAUPT) count towards the periodic training
requirements. As an accredited centre, our Driver Training
Team offers a choice of full- and half- day courses (for mix and
match into a modular seven hour course) which can be tailored to
suit your needs:
- Defensive & Eco-safe driving – PSV only
(classroom & on-road)
- Disability Awareness, Wheelchair Clamping
& Fire Evacuation Training for PSV
- Defensive & Eco-safe Driving (classroom
