Countryside Parks
Worcestershire offers many opportunities for outdoor
recreation and to enjoy the countryside. There is a variety of
landscapes from the Malvern Hills to the Vale of Evesham or the
woodlands of the Wyre Forest.
Worcestershire has many Country Parks, Nature Reserves and
Picnic sites where you can enjoy a picnic, take a walk, participate
in family events and activities or learn about the environment and
how it is managed.
Arley Arboretum
One of the oldest Arboretums in Great Britain. Tucked away in the
beautiful countryside near Bewdley, overlooking the River Severn,
it boasts more than 300 species of trees, including many rare and
spectacular domestic and exotic trees.
Bodenham Arboretum
A collection of over 2700 trees set in 156 acres of Worcestershire
countryside with 11 pools, four miles of footpaths and a working
farm. In addition there is an award-winning Visitor Centre set in
the hillside overlooking the Big Pool.
The Cotswold Hills
AONB
Lying to the East of the County, including Bredon Hill and the
picturesque village of Broadway. Within the AONB there is a wealth
of things to do from exploring Cotswold villages to walking the
Cotswold Way National Trail.

Worcestershire County Council's Countryside Services provides
information on many aspects of enjoying Worcestershire's beautiful
countryside, from guided walks and events to Waymarked Walks and
Countryside sites.

first complete landscape park.

The Malvern Hills

Redditch Arrow Valley Countryside Centre
Includes the Lakeview café, wildlife walks and displays, renewable
energy technology including solar panels a wind turbine.
Worcestershire Wildlife
Trust
Care for 70 nature reserves around the county, from ancient
woodlands to wildflower meadows. Also organise family events,
wildlife talks & volunteer work parties.
Wyre Forest Discovery Centre
The Forestry Commission's beautiful woodland is managed for
visitors, timber and wildlife, offering a wide range of
recreational opportunities and a great day out.
