The Worcestershire Climate Change Pledge

Worcestershire County Council, along with the organisations
listed below, have signed up to the Worcestershire Climate Change
Pledge.
As part of this pledge, we have committed to a number of actions
to tackle climate change.
We are working to:
- Raise awareness of climate change issues with our staff and in
our activities.
- Monitor and reduce our energy use.
- Insulate our buildings and encourage our staff to do so.
- Minimise our waste by using less and recycling more.
- Set ourselves a target to reduce carbon emissions.
- Assess likely impacts of climate change and make plans to
adapt.
- Implement a staff travel plan.
- Operate a sustainable purchasing policy.
- Use renewable energy.
Signing up
- If you would like to sign up then please print off two copies
of the
Climate Change Pledge.
- Tick the actions your organisation/ business has decided to
carry out
- Get it signed by the Head of your organisation.
- Keep one copy and send the other to: Principal Sustainability
Officer, Worcestershire County Council, County Hall, Spetchley
Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP. Or email it to sustainability@worcestershire.gov.uk.
- We will send you a certificate to display in your building and
a logo that you can use on your literature or website to
communicate your commitment to tackling climate change.
Each year, you will be asked to provide a short progress report
on the actions you have signed up to.
