Carers' Strategy 2010-2014
In Worcestershire, it is estimated there are nearly 60,000
carers, representing over 10 per cent of the county's
population.
In 2008, the national carers' strategy,
'Carers at the heart of 21st Century families and communities' was
published, which sets out support for carers over the next ten
years, with a strong focus on tailoring support for carers to their
personal needs and ensuring all carers are able to access
information and advice.
Following a review of carers in
Worcestershire, a new strategy for the county, 'Carers at the heart
of Worcestershire's families and communities', has now been
developed.
