Are You Carer Aware?

Carers Unit logoMany people do not recognise themselves as a carer, for them they are simply helping a family member, friend or neighbour. In effect they are undertaking tasks that they consider to be part of their relationship with that person. Worcestershire County Council are aware that many carers remain hidden from society and this means that they do not access the advice and guidance they need to support them in their caring role.

The Carers Unit would encourage everyone to access this training tool (link below) whether you are a carer or member of the public. It will explain who is a carer, their legal rights and what services are available in Worcestershire to support them.

If you aren't a carer now, you could be in the future!

If you are a professional worker employed by Worcestershire County Council and would like this course to count towards your induction and/or professional development then please access the e-learning portal site.
