The Schools' Library Service aims to:
- Support educational establishments in their aims to raise
achievement in reading, literacy and learning
- Provide advice in the management, organisation and use of
school libraries and resources
- Promote and provide resources to support all staff, heads,
governors and parents in the educational needs of young people
- Support schools in their teaching of all aspects of information
literacy
- Actively promote reading and learning as an enjoyable
activity

How green is the Schools' Library Service?
Schools' Library Service is committed to environmental
awareness.
We feedback to publishers our desire to
purchase books using where possible recycled products from
sustainable sources.
Reading Connects partner
Worcestershire Schools' Library Service is a Reading
Connects partner. You too can sign up and become a Reading Connects
school.

Connects, a DfES-funded National Reading Campaign
initiative, seeks to support schools in building their own reading
culture.
