Worcestershire Safeguarding Children Board (WSCB) picture of a young girlThe Worcestershire Safeguarding Children Board (WSCB) is a strategic partnership of senior representatives from key organisations across Worcestershire. These organisations have a responsibility to ensure that children are safeguarded and protected from harm or potential harm.

The primary function of the WSCB is to ensure that relevant organisations in Worcestershire work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in  the county

The WSCB wants to ensure that children and young people receive the right help at the right time.  For that to happen, anyone who comes into contact with a child or young person has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt, informed action if necessary.  This requires professionals and members of the public to be vigilant and informed about what action to take when it is suspected that a child or young person is at risk or is suffering harm.
