If someone is treating you in a way, which makes you feel scared
or unsafe, this may be abuse. You can be abused in different
ways, not just by being hit.
If an adult or another young person is doing
something to you that you don’t feel is right, then you should talk
to someone that you feel you can trust. This may be someone in your
family, a neighbour or a friend, a teacher or school
nurse.
Where to go to get help

Going To A Child Protection Meeting
Sometimes the services that work with children
and young people hold a meeting to discuss the best way of
supporting you and helping to keep you safe. If this is happening
to you might find it useful to watch the DVD made by other young
people who have gone through this process. It's called
"It's
All About You" This short film was made by the
Worcestershire Safeguarding Board's Young People's Panel, a group
of 12 – 18 year olds who have all attended child protection
meetings.
