About
Worcestershire Viewpoint is the new Citizens' Panel partnership
between Worcestershire County Council, the District Councils, NHS
Worcestershire and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue
Service.
The first survey is being sent out in November 2009 to a
number of addresses in Worcestershire and the responses will
help to shape our policies and services in the future. Respondents
include previous Citizens' Panel members and randomly selected
addresses from each Worcestershire District. We hope respondents
will be willing to join the Viewpoint panel and take part in future
surveys. The aim is to recruit in excess of 6,000 Worcestershire
residents to help improve local services for local people
and to become involved in the Council decision making
processes.
The recruitment has consisted of asking current Citizens' Panel
members (Worcestershire County, Worcester City and Wyre Forest
panels) to continue their involvement, but also asking a random
sample of residents to join the panel combined with the first
survey.
Viewpoint panel members are asked to complete two
surveys per year on council issues along with other local
matters to enable us to gain their views and opinions. Surveys can
be completed in paper format or online. We also occasionally may
invite panel members to take part in group discussions (often known
as focus groups) or workshops on particular issues (attendance at
these is optional).
