Area Profiles
The area profiles have been produced using a variety
of data sources including the ONS, CACI, West Mercia Police,
Department of Work & Pensions, and the 2001 Census where no
updated figures are available. The data is regularly updated
and provides an overview of the areas population, housing, crime
level, health, education and qualification attainment as well as
the economy.

Children's Services Strategic Needs Analysis
In order to ensure that we continue to provide for the needs of
children and young people across Worcestershire, Children’s
Services have embarked upon a project to assess need at the local
area level.
As part of this, the Research and Intelligence Unit have
completed two key pieces of work:
- the creation of a mapping tool that displays and shares data at
the local area level
- the preparation of School and Community Cluster Profiles for
each of the 11 cluster areas in the county
This information is being used to inform a variety of needs
assessments which are taking place within Children’s Services.

Needs Analysis
Historic Parish Maps
Ever wondered what the area where you live now looked like
hundreds of years ago? The Research and Intelligence Unit at
Worcestershire County Council have made some
historic maps available which show each parish in
Worcestershire as it was in 1850.
The Archaeology unit of the County Council have also carried out
some historic mapping, these tithe maps enable users to search for
data through the geographical extent of a tithe, parish or
district. In addition searches can be performed for a particular
owner, tenant, land-use or place name. Click to view the
Tithe Maps.
