The Friends of Worcestershire Record Office
What is it?
The Friends of Worcestershire Record Office was established in
the 1970s and consists of users of the office who have appreciated
the service and facilities offered. Its main aim is to:
- Foster interest and pride in the rich heritage of
Worcestershire and to ensure its survival and security for the
benefit not only of our own generation, but for those to come
In addition to this the Society seeks to:
- Support and co-ordinate research, publishing, education and the
advertising of the Record Office
- Assist with funds for the purchase of special collections of
archives, books or equipment not normally within the scope of the
office
- Arrange, or help with, exhibitions, meetings, lectures and
classes, or other voluntary activities
