County Hall Branch
Worcestershire
Record Office was established in 1947 to collect and preserve
records relating to the county and its people. We make
sure that the records documenting the lives and experiences of
people who have lived and worked in Worcestershire are held in the
best conditions, ensuring their survival for future generations to
research, learn from and enjoy.
Closure notice -
County Hall Branch Now Closed
Please note our County
Hall branch closed on Monday 14th November 2011 to enable us
to prepare to move premises. Our History Centre branch will remain open
until April 2012.
Join us at our new home in the Hive in July 2012.

In preparation for our permanent move in 2012 to the new
Worcester Library and History Centre at The Butts, Worcester, the
County Hall branch of the Worcestershire Record Office will be
closing for the first full week of every month from January through
to October 2011. As of Monday 14th November, the County Hall branch
will close permanently in order to undertake the final preparations
necessary for our exciting move. Please see our opening hours page
for more information on specific closure dates.
We will be ready to welcome you to our new home in July 2012 and look forward to
seeing you there.
