Property Services

Property Services is a Worcestershire Enhanced Two Tier service and is a division of the Corporate Services Directorate. It aims to provide a comprehensive strategic and detailed property management and development service to the District Councils, the County Council and to support neighbouring public sector partners.

About Property Services

The division is led by the Head of Property Services who is also the Corporate Property Officer for the Council, and is organised into three units:
  • Strategy and Assessment Unit
    Primarily focussed on understanding how well the estate is supporting front line services and identifies areas where the County should be investing in, or divesting itself of property. This is done through property review, asset management planning including service asset strategies and capital planning.
  • Project Design and Delivery Unit
    Focuses on delivering capital investment in the estate through a combination of in-house staff and consultants. This unit also leads and promotes much of the authority's work on sustainability.
  • Asset Maintenance and Building User Support Unit
    Focuses on maintaining the estate in a useable condition and supporting the safe occupation of the properties. This unit also provides an energy management service to individual properties that enables it to remotely control heating systems.

Although staff in the Division are arranged in functional teams within the Units, they frequently work across Directorates and Units on specific tasks or programmes of work.
