TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT (INQUIRIES PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND) RULES 2000

An Inspector instructed by the Secretary of State, Mr. Terry Kemmann-Lane, will open the Inquiry at 10.00am on the 22nd November 2011 within the Council Chamber of Worcestershire County Council Offices, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP.

The Inquiry will consider an application for planning permission by Mercia Waste Management Ltd referred to the Secretary of State under Section 77 of the 1990 Act for proposed development of an energy from waste facility for the combustion of non hazardous waste and the recovery of energy. The application comprises of the energy from waste facility buildings and associated infrastructure (including an excavated development platform; site access; internal roads; weighbridges; car parking; fencing; drainage works and landscaping).

The proposed development site is Plot H, 600 Oak Drive, Hartlebury Trading Estate, Hartlebury, DY10 4JB

Following the Inquiry the Inspector will write a report for submission to the Secretary of State  The Planning Inspectorate have provided a provisional date  of 3 February 2012 for submission of the Inspector's report to the Secretary of State. In accordance with the requirements of Schedule 2 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 notification will be given within 10 working days after the close of the Inquiry of the timetable set for the Secretary of State issuing the decision.
