material
The Waste Core Strategy will set out the ground rules for waste
management facilities in the County until 2027. To make sure it is
based on the best possible understanding of waste management issues
in Worcestershire we have developed a set of background documents
and considered existing evidence, policies and strategies.

Background documents have been developed and consulted on
alongside the development of the Waste Core Strategy and have
informed its development. The background documents have been
submitted to the Secretary of State as part of the Document Library for the examination of
the Waste Core Strategy and can be found in the section LEB: Local Evidence Base

Assessments of the potential impacts of the
Waste Core Strategy.
The potential impacts of the Waste Core Strategy have been assessed
through Sustainability
Appraisal,
Habitats Regulations Assessment and
Equality Impact Assessment. These documents have been submitted
to the Secretary of State as part of the Document Library for the examination of the
Waste Core Strategy and can be found in the section APP: Appraisals and Assessments.

Regional evidence base.
The evidence upon which the Regional Spatial Strategy and Phase 2
Revision were based has been considered in the development of the
Waste Core Strategy. The relevant parts of the regional evidence
base have been submitted to the Secretary of State as part of the
Document Library for the
examination of the Waste Core Strategy and can be found in the

papers.
The Waste Core Strategy has been informed by many local plans,
strategies and research papers. These have been submitted to the
