Minerals and Waste Planning Policy

The Waste Core Strategy was submitted to the Secretary of State on 28^th November 2011. The Secretary of State has appointed a Planning Inspector to hold an examination into the 'soundness' and legal compliance of the Strategy.

The Inspector held public hearing sessions for a week commencing on Tuesday 13^th March 

In response to the Inspector's questions and the debate in the hearing sessions, the Council would like to propose a number of changes to the Waste Core Strategy. Consultation on these changes runs from 5^th April to 5.30pm on 21^st May 2012.

Current Minerals and Waste Policy

	The saved policies in the Structure Plan set out the County's Waste planning policies and planning policies relating to minerals, alongside other policies which will be replaced over time by the City, Borough and District Planning policies.
	The Minerals Local Plan set out saved policies relating to mineral development in Worcestershire.
	The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how we will involve the public and other stakeholders in Minerals and Waste Planning.

Annual Monitoring Report

An Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) is produced by the council every financial year. Its purpose is to assess the effectiveness of the Council's existing planning policies and progress in preparing new Minerals and Waste Planning Policy The Annual Monitoring Report 2010/11 is now available
