What's New

The Waste Core Strategy was submitted to the Secretary of State on 28th November 2011. The Secretary of State has appointed a Planning Inspector to hold an examination into the 'soundness' and legal compliance of the Strategy.

The Inspector held public hearing sessions for a week commencing on Tuesday 13th March

In response to the Inspector's questions and the debate in the hearing sessions, the Council would like to propose a number of changes to the Waste Core Strategy. Consultation on these changes runs from 5th April to 5.30pm on 21st May 2012.
