Join the Library
Online joining is not currently available for under 16's
as a guarantor's signature is required. A guarantor is usually a
parent or other adult who is legally responsible for the young
person. Instead, please download and print the joining
form,

signature and hand in at your local library.
To join the library you have to show proof of your name and
address if you want to borrow books or other items. i.e.
driver's license, passport, utility bill etc.
You are now able to join the library by completing the form
below which will be sent to the library you select as your home
branch. Once we have registered you as a member your library card
will be posted to you and you will be able to use all of our
services straight away.

You are responsible for all items borrowed on your library card
number and for access to the internet made via your card. Your
internet access is not transferable to any other person.
The information you supply will be held within Worcestershire
County Council Library and Information Service's membership
database. Your information will only be used for Library Service’s
purposes. In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 your
details will not be used for any other purposes and WCC will
contact you directly should this information be required for any
other purpose. The information you supply will be kept no longer
than is necessary, in line with WCC's retention policies
Join Worcestershire's Libraries in an Instant!
Worcestershire's Libraries can offer anyone who lives, works or
studies in Worcestershire free membership to a library in an
instant!
Instant membership entitles you to join and borrow up to 4
books without having to provide any form of
identification.
As soon as a membership card is issued, you will have access to
the full library service including free internet access on the
library's PC's.
You can upgrade your membership to a full membership by
providing identification showing your name and address. This
will enable you to borrow more items and benefit from increased
services.
Are you a member of another public library service?
Universal Membership of Public Libraries means that you can
use/join Worcestershire's libraries on production of a membership
card from any other public library service in England, Wales and
Northern Ireland.
On production of your other authority library card you are
entitled to Instant Membership (as detailed above) and can be
upgraded to full membership on production of formal
identification.
Please note that any items you borrow from Worcestershire
Libraries must be returned to a Worcestershire Library only.
