Staff Interests and Groups

We realise that as an organisation with 18,500+ employees, this will provide for a wide variety of staff interests both inside and outside of work.  

For that reason there is always something going on including charity events, sports, dance, bands, drama, and environmental events. Our online staff site 'SID' - contains most information about these interests/ groups.  Staff are also informed about some events via email or on via staff notice boards around the workplace.

• Our Space Is an online e-magazine for our staff – in particular it contains a 'What's on' section
• Noticeboard Our online staff noticeboard with news and announcements
• News stories News from across our organisation, updated daily by the communications team on our staff intranet site. It often contains information about what's happening at County Hall and elsewhere such as Farmer's Markets, Plant Swaps etc
• Healthy Activities Information of healthy activities at County Hall and elsewhere is provided online and via other mediums across the organisation
• Items For Sale Is provided online for staff to sell items to colleagues
• Black Colleagues Group This group plays an active role in the work of the Equality group for Race and Religion and provides excellent feedback concerning the needs of our BME communities
• Disabled Staff Network An active group of disabled staff who provide a valuable contribution to Worcestershire County Council
• Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Staff Network This is a network for LGBT people to come together, to have a voice, and ensure that the council considers this group in its role as an employer and in the services it provides
