At Worcestershire County Council we're committed to investing in
your learning and development. Starting with a structured induction
programme which will compliment a broad portfolio of learning and
development options for people in all areas at all levels of the
organisation.
While it's good for your career, it's great for us too. The more
skilled and experienced you are the more valuable you are to our
organisation. There's an array of internal courses to help you get
to grips with all sorts of skills, including specialist courses for
managers.
- Learning &
Development
- Worcestershire Competency Framework – sets out
clearly the behaviours which have been identified as being
important within our organisation. They help us achieve
ourPriorities and support our Valuesand Ways of
Working.
- Staff Review & Development Scheme (SRD) –
is our staff appraisal scheme. All staff have an SRD and it forms
part of the Council's People Strategy. It provides a personal
business plan for staff by enabling everyone to explore their job,
the strengths they bring to their work, training needs and
establishing high level objectives for the year. It then follows
these throughout the year before reviewing how things went at
year-end.
We offer our employees:
- IBS Training – includes a range of ICT
courses
- Corporate Training – this includes soft
skills, and generic courses as well as Personal
Development, Management Development and Chartered
Management Institute Qualifications
