Local authorities and local health services are required to undertake Joint Strategic Needs Assessments of health and wellbeing. This work is designed to inform decisions made locally about what services are commissioned for the future.

Worcestershire produced its first Joint Strategic Needs Assessment in early 2008. Up to now, most of this work has been split between information about children and adults, but there are some areas where information relates to all age groups.
