Welcome to the Worcestershire Supporting People Partnership
home page

The Supporting People programme within
Worcestershire is helping more than 20,000
vulnerable people each year to attain or maintain independence,
through the provision of housing related support
services.
By reducing reoffending rates, homelessness
and rough sleeping, anti social behaviour and the fear of crime
through to the provision of housing adaptations to support the
frail elderly to stay within their home, the Supporting People
programme has been reported to produce substantial public funding
cost savings in excess of £50,000,000 within the
county per annum (Worcestershire County Council Research and
Intelligence Unit, DCLG and CapGemini).
The partnership includes:
Worcestershire County Council, Bromsgrove
District Council, Malvern Hills District Council, Redditch Borough
Council, Worcester City Council, Wychavon District Council, Wyre
Forest District Council, West Mercia Probation Trust,
Worcestershire Primary Care Trust.
