
Key Accountabilities:
Identifying and responding to the needs of
customers - those people who live, visit or work in Worcestershire;
providing advice and support to councillors on strategy development
and implementation; promoting external relations with government
departments, other local authorities and external agencies;
promoting the community leadership role of the Council -
working in partnership with statutory and private sector
partners and voluntary organisations; and effective management of
staff (18,000) and resources (£800m spend, £1.6 billion assets) to
achieve the Council's aims.

Career Information:
Trish has been Chief Executive of
Worcestershire County Council since March 2008
Her career started in social work in
Yorkshire. She held management posts in Berkshire, Suffolk
and Hereford and Worcestershire before being appointed Director of
Social Services in Warwickshire in 1997. In 2002, Trish moved
to Reading Borough Council as Chief Executive before returning to
Worcestershire in 2008.
