Leading on integrated services to children, young people and their families, which includes education including schools, early years and children's centres, youth services and children's social care; responsible for strategic leadership on partnership co-operation to improve the well-being of children and young people in Worcestershire through the Children’s Trust arrangements.

Education:

• 1988: BA (Hons) Community Studies (including youth work qualification)
• 2000: Post graduate Diploma in Management
• 2008: Post graduate Diploma in Leadership & Organisation in Public Services

Career Information:

Gail started her career at Bradford LEA before moving to Knowsley LEA as Principal Manager for Social Inclusion. Gail joined Bath & North East Somerset Council in 2001 where she held the post of Divisional Director for Learning and Inclusion and had also held posts as Interim Education Director, Head of Inclusion Support Service and Assistant Director for Young People and Community Education.

Gail joined Worcestershire County Council in March 2009 as Director of Children's Services.

Salary Range 2010/11        £112,998 - £124,296 per annum
