Main functions of the Directorate

Commission and provide social care services, often in collaboration with the NHS, for
- Older people
- People with physical disabilities or sensory impairments
- People with a learning disability
- People with a mental health problem
Providing library and lifelong learning services
Registering births, deaths and marriages; and supporting the Coroners Service
Providing heritage services including Hartlebury Museum, the Historic Environment and Archaeology service, Record Office, Arts
Delivering the Supporting People programme
Hosting the Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT)
Leading work on Community Safety, including domestic abuse
