Labour and Birth

Introduction

Part two, Labour and Birth, looks at the various options available during labour, including coping with the early stages of labour at home.  It provides an illustrated 'story of birth' to help reassure parents, as well as exploring the role of the birth partner.

This section is designed to help prepare you for the birth of your new baby and labour. The story of birth is a simple story book looking at the journey of birth and is designed to help you visualise your very own birth.

“Just watch, listen and let yourself relax. If you watch the story regularly you will remember it.”

"The second section; Keep Healthy and stay active, shows you some practical things you can do during early labour to make sure that you give yourself the very best chance of a normal birth. The final section is a detailed look at the three most likely birthing environments available in Worcestershire, at Home, in Hospital and a midwife led unit.”

"You'll find lots of useful information about what to expect, what you need, what you need to pack as well as some videos of the various rooms and equipment you are likely to see.”
