The aim of this site is to provide simple and accessible
information which will help mothers-to-be and their partners to
have a healthy and fulfilling pregnancy. This DVD has been produced
in partnership with our Health Professionals and it’s intended to
ensure that every child has a healthy start in life. We hope you
find it useful.
If you are expecting a baby or are in your first early days at
home with a new baby this site is for you! It is split into three
sections for you to view at different times depending on what stage
you're at in your pregnancy.

Part One Pregnancy
Gives you some basic information and advice that is very useful
to ensure you have a healthy and fulfilling pregnancy. We also take
a look at some of the services available to you in the region via
the Sure Start Children's Centres. More

Part Two Labour and birth
Looks at the various options available to you during labour and
the role played by your birth partner. In addition there is some
more detailed information about the different birthing environments
that are currently available. More

Part Three Early days
Covers information you may need during the first few days at
home with your new baby. We take a look at some of the basic
everyday tasks like changing a nappy, bathing baby and breast
feeding. In all cases this site is a starting point for your
questions and not as a replacement for talking to your midwife.

This website is an invaluable resource for new and expectant
families and provides an extension of a DVD produced in
Worcestershire through collaborative working between the
County Council and the Acute Hospitals Trust. Find out more.
