Admissions Online – Help Notes
Step 1 - Registration
If you are new to this online application
process, you MUST register by clicking on the Blue Circle
on the welcome page, and enter your details.
You will receive an email by return with a password.
If you have previously used this facility and already have a
password, move to step 2.
Step 2 - Making the application
online
Enter your email address (which must be the same one as you
confirmed in the Registration process), and password and click
Go.
NB – If you cannot remember your password,
click on "Forgotten Password".
(if you are having difficulties at this stage, please email
onlineschooladmissions@worcestershire.gov.uk).
Step 3 – Home Page
Click on appropriate box to either make a new application, or to
view one previously submitted.
Step 4 – For creating a new application
Some parents may have previously received a letter from the
Authority giving out a Unique Identifier Number (UID). If so you
may enter this number into the box provided.
If you do not have a letter or number, you may click on the box
marked No UID.
Step 5 – Select the Appropriate Year Group
If you have selected the No UID box you will then be asked to
confirm which year group you are applying for. Please be careful to
ensure that you select the correct Year Group, particularly for all
applications into Middle and High Schools, where there are
different ages of entry to different schools.
NB - If you had entered the UID number supplied, then you will
by-pass this screen.
Step 6 – Entering Child's Details
Please complete as many boxes as you can.
For child's current school type in the school name (or part of
it) and click on Search - (e.g. for St Mark's Catholic
Primary School, type in Mark) – then select correct school.
If you cannot find your child's current school, you can enter it
as free-text.
Step 7 – Preference of Schools
If you cannot find your preferred school(s) straight away, try
typing in part of the school name and click Search.
(e.g. for St Michael's C.E. High School – type in Mich – and
Search)
Then select the school from the options available.
Once a School is selected – select as many of the boxes that may
be appropriate to your application.
Enter as free text your reasons (optional but adviseable).
In making your preference of schools, please make sure that you
fully understand the Admissions Criteria for your preferred
school(s). This is important for parents to be able to gauge a
realistic chance of your preferences being met. In particular make
sure whether you will need to forward any other documentation (e.g.
medical papers or Baptism Certificates, etc).
The Admissions Policy for each Worcestershire School is given on
the School Admissions Page of the website. If you cannot find the
criteria of the school, it is likely that the School is either a
Community or Voluntary Controlled School.
If your preferred school is outside Worcestershire, please
contact the relevant Authority to get a copy of the relevant
Admissions Criteria.
Make sure that details for siblings are fully completed, if
applicable.
Step 8 – To add further Schools, Delete or Change Ranking
To add further schools, click on the box marked Add another
preference and repeat Step 7.
You may delete your preferred school, if you change your mind,
by clicking on the appropriate box on this screen.
If you wish to change the ranking of your preferred schools
click on the drop down lists of the Ranking boxes on the left hand
side.
Step 9 – Submit Application
After you have selected all your schools (you are advised to
make three preferences) you can submit your application by clicking
on the box at the bottom of the page, and then accept the
terms/conditions on the next page and submit again.
Step 10 – Confirmation/Copies of application.
You will receive a confirmation email that your online
application has been submitted. You are strongly advised to retain
