The School Admissions Team

The School Admissions Team is responsible for the allocation of school places at all community and voluntary controlled schools, within Worcestershire.

School Transfers September 2011

The School Admission Guides below are aimed to assist all parents and carers of children who will be entering the final year of their current school in September 2010, who will be transferring onto their next phase of education September 2011. The Guides also contain details of all the School Open Evenings.

Moving on to Middle School Guide – for parents of children attending a First school.

The law requires all children to start full-time education by the beginning of the term following their fifth birthday.  Children who have reached their fourth birthday are entitled to attend full-time in a reception class from the September after their fourth birthday.

So, if your child's date of birth is on or between  01.09.06 - 31.08.07 then you will need to apply for him/her to start school.  You can either apply online now, see section below.

From September 2010, application forms will be available and obtainable via:Telephone: 01905 822700 or from any Worcestershire First or Primary school.

How do I apply for a school place online?

If you wish to make an appication for your child to start school at a First/Primary School in the academic year commencing September 2011, or to transfer to a Middle/High School in September 2011.
